Syeda Daniel Therapy

About me

I have over 25 years of experience working in NHS mental health services. I began my career as an Occupational Therapist, and I have worked in inpatient wards and within community settings with adults and older adults with mental health difficulties.

In 2017 I qualified as a mindfulness-based therapeutic counsellor and in 2018 I trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) qualifying in 2019. Alongside these skills, I am also qualified in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. Additionally, I am an accredited practitioner in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and have experience using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.

My approach is compassionate, gentle and reflective. I am a person-centred therapist where my intention is to understand and support clients with the difficulties they are experiencing. Together we will work to find a way forward to wellbeing in a caring and meaningful way, with curiosity and non-judgement.
